Admissions Arrangements for September 2027 Entry (2027-28)
Our admission arrangements for September 2027 entry were determined by the Trust Board on 11 February 2026. There are no substantive changes from 2026 entry. The only updates made are technical amendments to maintain compliance with the School Admissions Code 2021.
There are no changes to our oversubscription criteria, PAN, or catchment area. The Trust admissions webpage contains a short statement to provide context to this determination: https://www.forwardasone.uk/Admissions/
Any objections to determined admission arrangements can be referred to the schools adjudicator by 15th May 2026.

Nursery Admissions Policy:
Admissions to Nursery are administered here at the school.
Children can start Nursery the term after their third birthday

At Canon Johnson we offer a 30 place Reception class. Choosing a school for a Reception place is the most important decision as a parent you will make as it provides the foundations of their future learning. If you would like a place at our school, please contact the admissions department at Tameside Authority and read the important information above about applying and our admission policy.

Places in other year groups: To apply for a place at our school in the year groups 1 to 6, you must contact the admissions department at Tameside MBC.
